How to make the DefiSign battery last longer

The battery of the DefiSign LIFE AED has a lifespan of about 6 years. Avoid having to buy a new battery prematurely. You can make the most of its lifespan by replacing the electrodes on time. Find out how here.

DefiSign LIFE AEDs feature LED lights and beeps to provide status updates, allowing the AED to indicate when the electrodes are due for replacement. DefiSign LIFE electrodes have a so-called RFID tag that allows the AED to be aware of their shelf life. If the bottom red light is flashing, replace the electrodes within 2 months. After the expiry date has passed, a beep will sound in addition to the flashing light.

These visual and auditory signals naturally consume energy. The longer the light flashes and the sound goes off, the more the battery drains. So, replace the electrodes as soon as possible to avoid draining the battery.
