DefiSign LIFE child key

Suitable for use on children 

With the DefiSign LIFE child key, the DefiSign LIFE AED automatically switches to child resuscitation mode. This allows the AED to be safely used on children without the need for separate child electrodes. 

The child key is suitable for children younger than 8 years old or with a body weight under 25 kg. Once the key is inserted into the AED, the device automatically adjusts the shock level and CPR instructions for a child. This ensures safe and user-friendly operation in emergency situations. 

Thanks to its compact size, the child key can easily be stored with the AED, ensuring it is always readily available when needed. 

Automatic activation of child mode 

The child key works with a magnetic system. When the key is inserted into the AED, the DefiSign LIFE automatically recognizes that child mode should be activated. This means the user does not need to manually adjust any settings. 

The child key also functions as an extension of the adult electrode connector. By inserting the key into the electrode connector and then connecting the electrodes to the key, the AED automatically switches to child mode. The DefiSign LIFE adjusts not only the CPR instructions, but also the analysis and shock energy levels for use on children. This allows the AED to be used safely on children without the need for separate pediatric electrodes.
