Powerful guidance during emergencies

The Powerheart G5 guides the rescuer step by step thanks to clear instructions via spoken text and an LCD display. When the valve is opened, the AED starts up immediately. The electrodes can be practically stored in the AED's opening lid for quick deployment. With fully automatic operation, a shock is delivered fully independently when advised by the device, without any intervention by the rescuer.

A semi-automatic version of this AED is also available, namely the Cardiac Science Powerheart G5 AED Semi-Automatic.

Multilingual AED with language switch

Thanks to the bilingual functionality, you easily switch languages during deployment at the push of a button. By default, the AED is set to English-French, but other language combinations are available. Ideal for use in an international environment, such as companies, hospitality venues and campsites.

CPR feedback via CPR sensor

The AED comes with electrodes equipped with a CPR sensor. This sensor is a separate module, about the size of a palm, and is located between the electrodes. During CPR, the sensor should be placed on the chest, at the level of the hand position for chest compressions. The CPR sensor measures both the depth and rate of compressions and transmits this information to the AED. Based on this, the AED can provide feedback to ensure the correct pace and depth of chest compressions.

The use of the CPR sensor is optional. If you choose not to use the sensor, place it on a flat surface next to the patient. Do not try to disconnect the sensor from the cable.

Ready Rescue Status Indicator

The Ready Rescue Status Indicator of the Cardiac Science Powerheart G5 AED is a visual indicator that shows at a glance whether the AED is operational and ready for deployment.

This status indicator continuously monitors the key components of the AED, such as:

• Battery status
• Electrode status
• System functionality

The AED performs daily, weekly and monthly self-tests. If everything is OK, the indicator shows a green flashing light. This means that the AED is immediately ready for use. If a problem is detected (e.g. a low battery or expired electrodes), the Rescue Ready indicator turns red so that quick action can be taken.

Shock impedance of the Cardiac Science G5 AED

The Cardiac Science Powerheart G5 AED uses the STAR biphasic™ protocol, which automatically adjusts the shock energy according to the patient's body resistance (impedance), up to a maximum of 360 joules. This smart technology ensures effective and safe defibrillation that automatically adapts to the situation.
